Presentation

The way Cold/Hot Aisle containment works is quite simple. It is based on the principle of complete separation of hot and cold air flows, which leads to significant energy savings and improved cooling of the data center.

For Cold Aisle containment, roof panels and sliding doors trap the cold air which is completely reused to cool the servers. This helps reduce volume and prevents hot air from returning back onto the front of the cabinets.  Consequently you reduce electricity consumption and increase your hosting capacity at the same time while you make way for future needs.

Thus with this technology, containment of hot aisle and cold aisle containment are possible in the same room. Our offer can be adapted to your own specifications and to the available air conditioning capacity. Aisle containment technology can also be integrated in existing installations.

The EFIRACK aisle containment is compatible with most of our racks and accessories; therefore, you capitalize on all our innovative solutions.

The aisle containment is a passive element which cannot break down (manual sliding door version) and, therefore, involves no additional maintenance.

Why use Cold/Hot Aisle Containment?
  • Increase the server reliability due to uniform temperature, regardless of the position of the cabinet -hence a decrease in downtime of your equipment.
  • Energy savings
  • Cooler temperatures in data center due to increased efficiency of the cooling system
  • No additional maintenance
  • No risk of breakdowns (manual sliding door version)
  • Optimal adaptation for future cooling needs
  • Can also be integrated in current installations
  • Compatible with Hevea, Access, Accord, and Atlanta baying cabinets
  • Possibility to use entire space in racks
  • Cable trays on top of cabinets are accessible from inside the cold aisle corridor
  • Compatible with side cable channels
  • Fully modularly for big and small deployments
  • Existing manual side sliding glass doors can be automatic (optional feature) in order to minimize cold air loss
  • The transparent roof allows normal room lighting to light the data cabinets
